Dental Implants

It’s Dental Implant Month

Are you looking for a tooth replacement option to help restore your smile?

We understand that patients may feel uncomfortable or embarrassed because of their missing teeth. Dental implants can be a valuable replacement option for patients who are missing teeth. At Drs. Monroe and Monroe, we work with you to help find a solution for your missing teeth. We offer comprehensive evaluations to thoroughly exam your smile and determine if dental implants are right for you.

When choosing a dentist to restore your smile, it is important to find an experienced, trusted dentist. As a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Dr. Clement Monroe is specially trained to provide complete dental implant services in his Pinehurst, NC dentist office.

Dental Implants

Dental implants can be used to restore one or more missing teeth. Dental implants can provide a stable, long lasting solution for your missing teeth. Unlike other replacement options, dental implants replace the tooth root, creating a permanent, secure foundation for your chosen restoration option. If you want a more reliable replacement option than traditional dentures or bridges, Dr. Monroe can install as few as four dental implants in a process called All-on-Four to permanently secure your dentures or dental bridge. For a single missing tooth, Dr. Monroe can secure a dental crown to provide a natural looking solution for your smile. Dental implants provide one of the most natural looking, durable solution for patients who are missing teeth.

The Process

During your consultation, Dr. Monroe will examine your teeth determine if you have a healthy bone structure and gums to be an ideal candidate for dental implants. If you aren’t an ideal candidate for dental implants, Dr. Monroe offers a broad range of replacement options to help restore your smile. If Dental Implants is right for you, Dr. Monroe will surgically place your dental implants in your jaw bone. Over the course of about 3-6 months, the small, titanium post will fuse with the jawbone, creating a stable, sustainable foundation for your restoration option. In some cases, Dr. Monroe may be able to attach a dental crown, dental bridge, or denture during the original dental implant procedure. In other situations, patients will receive a temporary restoration as the dental implant heals. In the end, with dental implants, patients will have a natural looking, durable solution for their missing teeth.
