Smile Confidently With Professional Teeth Whitening

A life well-lived is full of big moments. Perhaps you’re about to walk down the aisle with the person of your dreams? Maybe you have an interview coming up for the job you’ve always wanted? Or maybe you’re finally in line for that big promotion at work and need to impress your clients and your boss? You’ll want to look your best. But maybe you’re self-conscious about your smile because your pearly whites aren’t so pearly or white anymore. If you need a boost to your confidence to help you smile again, professional teeth whitening treatments may be just what you need. If you are in the Pinehurst NC area and are considering professional teeth whitening, Drs. Kamron and Clement Monroe and their team can help.

Why Aren’t My Teeth White?

Even if you’ve cared for your teeth as recommended by your dentist- brushing twice daily and flossing every day- discoloration of your teeth will still occur naturally over time. This process can also be hurried along by other factors such as smoking or chewing tobacco or daily drinking of coffee, tea, cola or red wine. Even certain prescription medications can cause discoloration as a side effect.

Following your dentist’s recommendation for dental hygiene as mentioned above can slow this process down and help your smile stay brighter and healthier longer. However, it cannot reverse it entirely.

In-Office or Take-Home Teeth Whitening

Pinehurst NC dentists Drs. Kamron and Clement Monroe offer patients the option of in office or take home teeth whitening. Both treatments can remove years’ worth of stains and restore a more youthful appearance for your teeth. A fresh, white smile can elevate your confidence and help you feel ready to meet whatever challenge you’re facing.

Our fastest method of teeth whitening is the in-office procedure. This procedure takes a little over an hour and can lighten teeth up to ten shades in just one session. Results will depend on the severity and origin of stains on the patient’s teeth, with certain stains being more difficult to  remove completely. The Drs. Monroe will discuss expected results prior to your treatment during your consultation.

In-office teeth whitening usually proceeds as follows. First, the team at Monroe & Monroe set up a protective barrier for your gums. Next, a layer of maximum strength bleaching gel is brushed onto your teeth and the ingredients are activated with a special light. Patients may need to repeat this process several times until their desired shade is achieved.

The most convenient method for removing stains from tooth enamel is at-home teeth whitening. For this method, custom-fitted trays are created by the Drs. Monroe in the office and used in conjunction with maximum strength bleaching gel. The take home kit provides results far superior to over the counter options such as whitening strips and toothpastes that you may see advertised on TV or for sale at your local drugstore.

At home, you will fill the trays with gel and fit them over your teeth for a certain amount of time daily. The bleaching gel will remove stains and, because it contains fluoride, also reduce sensitivity and strengthen your tooth enamel. Teeth should look dramatically whiter after only a week or so of use.

All our teeth whitening products are specially formulated to minimize tooth sensitivity and the Drs. Monroe carefully supervise teeth whitening treatments.
